Who We Serve

who we serveOur Ideal Client.

We primarily serve high-performing individuals and families who are entering or navigating their strongest income-earning years and want a seamless path toward retirement or a work-optional lifestyle.

Our client base includes working professionals, business owners, and retirees who are often balancing career growth, family responsibilities, and increasing financial complexity. Whether building wealth, preparing for retirement, or already enjoying it, they are seeking a more organized, thoughtful approach to their financial lives.

We work best with clients who value a collaborative relationship built around three key characteristics:

I.Assets

Meetings can be held virtually or in person, allowing us to stay connected and provide ongoing financial planning and investment guidance wherever life takes you.

  • As an independent Registered Investment Adviser, Vessel Wealth Partners is not owned by or operating as part of a larger bank, brokerage firm, or financial institution.

Independence gives us the flexibility to evaluate technology, investment solutions, planning resources, and strategic partners based on what we believe best serves our clients.

As an RIA, Vessel Wealth Partners also has a fiduciary duty to act in our clients' best interests when providing investment advice.

  • Yes. As a Registered Investment Adviser, Vessel Wealth Partners has a fiduciary duty to act in our clients' best interests when providing investment advice.

For us, that aligns naturally with how we believe financial advice should be delivered: transparently, thoughtfully, and with the client's goals at the center of every recommendation.

  • Our work extends well beyond investment management. Depending on your needs and circumstances, our comprehensive wealth management services may include:

    • Financial planning
    • Investment strategy and portfolio management
    • Retirement planning and income strategy
    • Tax-aware planning
    • Estate and legacy planning considerations
    • Risk and insurance analysis
    • Cash-flow planning
    • Charitable giving strategies
    • Education planning
    • Business owner and executive planning
    • Coordination around major financial decisions

Rather than addressing each area independently, we work to connect the different pieces of your financial life through one coordinated plan.

  • Investment management focuses primarily on how your assets are invested. Financial planning takes a broader view of your financial life.

At Vessel Wealth Partners, your investment strategy is one component of your overall financial plan. We consider your retirement goals, income needs, taxes, estate intentions, risk, family priorities, major life decisions, and other circumstances when developing recommendations.

Our philosophy is simple: the plan should inform the portfolio, not the other way around.

  • We believe investment decisions should begin with your financial plan.

Portfolios are designed around each client's goals, time horizon, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, tax considerations, and broader financial circumstances. Our approach emphasizes thoughtful portfolio construction, disciplined investing, and long-term decision-making rather than reacting to short-term market noise.

As your life and financial plan evolve, your investment strategy should evolve with them.

  • Yes. Retirement planning is an important part of our work.

We help clients evaluate when they can realistically retire, how much income their assets may need to generate, how different income sources work together, and how investment, tax, risk, and estate considerations may affect their retirement strategy.

For clients approaching retirement, our goal is to help turn years of saving and accumulation into a coordinated plan for the next stage of life.

  • Yes. We work with clients who are approaching retirement as well as those who are already retired.

For retirees, planning may include portfolio management, retirement income strategies, tax-aware decision-making, estate and legacy considerations, charitable giving, and ongoing adjustments as circumstances change.

Financial planning does not stop at retirement. In many ways, thoughtful coordination becomes even more important.

  • Tax considerations are an important part of comprehensive financial planning. We incorporate tax awareness into areas such as investment management, retirement income, charitable giving, and other financial decisions when appropriate.

We also utilize specialized tax-planning technology to help analyze a client’s tax situation, identify potential planning opportunities, and evaluate how certain financial decisions may impact their broader tax picture.

We do not replace your tax professional or provide tax preparation services. Instead, we can work alongside your CPA or other tax professionals to help coordinate strategies across your broader financial plan.

  • Yes. We believe some of the best financial outcomes come from coordination among a client's professional advisors.

With your permission, we can collaborate with your CPA, attorney, and other professionals to help ensure the different pieces of your financial life are working together. This can be particularly valuable when addressing tax strategies, estate planning, business interests, charitable giving, or other complex decisions.

  • Vessel Wealth Partners does not take custody of client assets. Client accounts are held with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., an independent custodian.

Schwab provides custody of your assets and account statements, while Vessel Wealth Partners provides investment management, financial planning, and ongoing advice.

This structure allows the custody of your assets to remain separate from the firm providing your financial advice.

  • Vessel Wealth Partners generally charges an advisory fee based on the assets we manage on your behalf. This fee covers the ongoing wealth management relationship, including investment management and financial planning services as applicable.

We believe fees should be clear and transparent. Before beginning a relationship, we explain the applicable fee structure and services so you understand what you are paying and what is included.

  • We work best with individuals and families whose financial circumstances have reached a level of complexity where comprehensive planning and ongoing wealth management can provide meaningful value.

Rather than determining fit based solely on an account balance, we consider your financial needs, goals, complexity, and whether our services are well aligned with what you are looking for.

An introductory conversation is the best way for us to determine whether working together makes sense.

  • Your initial consultation is a no-pressure conversation designed to help us get to know one another.

We will learn about your financial situation, goals, concerns, and what you wish your current financial strategy did better. We will also explain Vessel Wealth Partners, our planning philosophy, and how we may be able to help.

If there is mutual interest, the next step is typically developing a complimentary financial plan so you can experience our process before deciding whether to establish an ongoing relationship.

There is no obligation to become a client.
